Luis Barragán’s Chapel at Tlalpan was completed in 1955 in Mexico City, Mexico. The interior space is defined by the stylized grid aperture that stretches from the floor to the ceiling. Light enters the space and washes along the floor and the walls, amplifying the various textures. The contrast of light and texture was captured in a hand rendering with graphite on paper. The rendering process was recorded in a time lapse video.
